We held the Japanese Speech Contest on Sunday, October 5.
There were 9 speakers, and 3 students from the “Children’s Japanese Class” gave short messages.
Five citizen judges and three special judges joined the event.
About 90 people came to watch at the venue.
Award winners:
- Mayor’s Award: Ms. PHYO PHYO KHINE (from Myanmar)
- Musashino University President’s Award: Mr. Dashnyam Shadav (from Mongolia)
- NIMIC Award: Mr. Andre Aditya (from Indonesia)
After the contest, we had a social gathering.
About 70 people joined, and everyone enjoyed talking together.
In the audience survey, many people said:
“It gave me courage,” and “It was a good chance to think about multicultural coexistence.”
We, the organizing team, are very happy to hear these comments.
