On the afternoon of June 20 (Saturday), NIMIC held a Senior Exchange Meeting at ING Building, 3rd Floor.
The meeting was intended for people who have lived in Japan for more than ten years, as well as local residents. This time, seven participants, mainly from China, joined the gathering. They enjoyed a friendly discussion on a wide range of topics, including inheritance, elderly care, medical services, education, and the differences in systems and ways of thinking between Japan and their home countries.
Based on the positive response, we have decided to continue these gatherings under a new name: “NIMIC Chat Time.” Rather than focusing only on seniors, the meetings will welcome anyone who has lived in Japan for many years and would like to share experiences, questions, or thoughts about life in Japan. Japanese participants are also warmly invited.
The meetings will be held on the first Saturday afternoon every three months.
The next meeting will be held on Saturday, September 5, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
More information will be announced in the NIMIC Newsletter. We look forward to seeing you there!
