On Saturday, November 15, 20 foreign participants and 11 staff members visited Musashiseki Park, Higashifushimi Inari Shrine, and Shimonoya Remains.
Especially inside the pit dwelling at Shimonoya Remains, everyone—both foreign participants and staff—listened intently to the city curator’s explanation (with interpreter) about the lifestyle of the Jomon people near the Shakujii River.
Also, at Higashifushimi Inari Shrine, everyone was delighted and exclaimed “Kawaii!” (cute) when they saw children dressed in kimonos for Shichi-Go-San (a traditional rite of passage for 3, 5, and 7-year-old children).
